The Interinstitutional Energy Center of Guanajuato´s Public University is a technological park integrated to the Guanajuato´s University Ecosystem for Innovation, Development and Knowledge Application. CINERGIA UG además de la experiencia en el aprovechamiento de la energía solar a través de sistemas fotovoltaicos, también realiza proyectos para generación y almacenamiento térmico de la energía solar. CINERGIA UG tiene como meta el aprovechamiento de la Energía Solar las 24/7.
Biomasa
Las Líneas de investigación abarcan desde los sistemas de calentamiento de agua sanitaria, refrigeración solar por absorción, sistemas de captación y almacenamiento de calor en muros, hasta centrales termosolares.
CINERGIA UG tiene amplia experiencia en el asesoramiento de aspectos técnicos de proyectos de instalaciones de este tipo.
Solar fotovoltaica
Para conseguir un rendimiento económico óptimo en una granja fotovoltaica es necesario tener un plan de operación y mantenimiento adecuado.
CINERGIA UG tiene amplia experiencia en el asesoramiento de aspectos técnicos y legales de proyectos de instalaciones de solar fotovoltaica.
También, cuenta con investigadores y equipo de laboratorio capaces de desarrollar trabajos de investigación e innovación relacionados con las tecnologías de paneles fotovoltaicos

Guanajuato State Government also has invested into the Xonotli Agro-Tecnological Park, located between Salamanca, Santa Cruz de Juventivo Rosas and Villagrán, to generate technological project to help local farmers, with the collaboration of educative institutions and private entities. It also serves as a training facility for higher education students where they can learn agricultural best practices.
