Guanajuato´s exports increased by 226% in the last 10 years for an amount of 23.8 billion USD with more than 500 companies that selected Guanajuato as their preferred destination for doing business. The main driver of the local economy is manufacturing, with the sector accounting for more than 38% of its economic output, according to the National Statistics and Geography Institute. Guanajuato State has diversified its economy for the past 20 years and is now composed of strategic sectors providing world-class products: Automotive, Agroindustry, Textile, Leather & Footwear, Mining, ITC, Cosmetic, Medical, and Aeronautical.
